Property Market Trends 2021

An annual survey on the commercial real estate market in France, summarising the major trends of 2020/2021.

In a context of unprecedented crisis, how is the health and economic situation impacting corporate real estate strategies in France? What are the consequences for the commercial real estate market in 2021 and in the longer term?

Catella analyzes the corporate real estate market and the trends that are emerging for 2021, through the annual market study "Property Market Trends" conducted in collaboration with MBE Conseil.

Highlights:

- In the rental market, 2020 will be distinguished by a historic decline in take-up. With only 1.3 million square meters transacted in the Greater Paris region, the market has declined by 45% compared to 2019;

- With regard to the investment market, 2020 will ultimately be seen as a satisfactory year, with the decline in non-residential investment volume limited to 38%;

- 2021 promises to be a pivotal year as the crisis reshapes the way we work. The desire to place the user at the heart of real estate concerns will have a considerable impact on companies' real estate choices.
