Sustainability at Catella

An integral part of our corporate culture

The topic of "sustainability" concerns companies all over the world. It has long since become one of the most important factors in the real estate market: Sustainable investments have become an integral part of the industry.

At Catella Real Estate AG, sustainability has been an integral part of the corporate culture from the very beginning. Since the launch of the first sustainable fund "SSP - Sarasin Sustainable Properties" by Catella in 2011 in cooperation with Bank J. Safra Sarasin AG, sustainable property management has been an integral part of our investment philosophy. Another sustainability fund was launched the following year in the form of the "CMS - Catella Multitenant Stiftungsfonds".

A staff position for sustainability, which was set up in 2015, ensures the continuous expansion of expertise in this area both within and outside the company. In this context, Catella Real Estate AG developed its own sustainability monitoring system, which has been successfully applied to selected real estate funds since 2017 - for the first time with the launch of the open-ended public real estate AIF "KCD-Catella Nachhaltigkeit Immobilien Deutschland". This sustainability monitor (see below) can also be fully implemented for individual mandates.
