Mowgli has taken a 4,100 sq ft unit fronting Chantry Square, bringing its celebrated take on Indian home-style cooking and immersive interiors to one of the East of England’s most popular retail destinations.
Founded by Nisha Katona MBE, Mowgli is known for its vibrant street food, iconic Chat Bombs, and distinctive design inspired by Katona’s ancestral home in Varanasi. The Norwich opening marks the brand’s first in the city and is set to offer a truly unique and flavour-packed experience for local diners.
Nathan Reidy, Associate Director at Catella APAM, commented:
“Mowgli’s opening is a fantastic addition to our dining offer and reflects our ongoing commitment to introducing high-quality brands that resonate with our visitors. It’s another step in delivering a diverse and engaging line-up for Chantry Place.”
The arrival of Mowgli also brings with it the charitable spirit of The Mowgli Trust, which has raised over £2.6 million for local and international causes. In Norwich, the restaurant will support East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) through dedicated fundraising initiatives led by the team.
Catella APAM continues to invest in enhancing the customer experience at Chantry Place, with Mowgli joining a series of recent lettings that are redefining the scheme as a leading retail and leisure destination in the region.
