Several appointments at Aquila AM and a new division

Guillaume Riquier becomes Managing Director.

Founded and led by Jean-Marc Sabiani and Gilles Barbieri, Aquila Asset Management (AM) has made several appointments. The firm has promoted Guillaume Riquier to Managing Director and Nicolas Chaufour to the position of Investment Manager.

Guillaume Riquier was recruited in early 2021 as Head of Asset Management. In his new role, he will continue to "lead the Asset Management and Project Management team, which now comprises 11 employees, while strengthening investor relations and supporting new growth opportunities for the firm," Aquila AM stated in a press release, also noting that his advancement "reflects his central role in the management and value enhancement of the portfolio's assets."

Nicolas Chaufour, meanwhile, has been appointed Investment Manager within the Investment Management team, which is headed by Olivier Levesque, Managing Director and Partner. He brings six years of experience as a financial analyst and then as an asset manager.

Creation of a Project Management Division

In addition, Aquila Asset Management has also created a Project Management division, designed to support project owners throughout the various phases of their projects, from feasibility studies and design through to execution.

"This strategic initiative aims to broaden our service offering and meet the expectations of investors seeking to sustainably enhance the value of their assets," the firm stated. Robin Mollicone, Head of Project Management, has been appointed to lead this division. Having been with the firm since 2021 as a Project Manager, he leads a team tasked with developing a specialized service offering in project management assistance (AMO) for transformation and renovation projects involving tertiary and residential real estate assets.

As a reminder, Aquila AM is a consulting firm specializing in the management and value enhancement of real estate assets on behalf of third parties. With a portfolio under management of €1.5 billion, it operates in France on behalf of institutional and private investors. In 2023, Catella acquired a majority stake in the firm (60%).
